When asked why SYNAPSE Project is important to the institute, their response was:

The SYNAPSE Project is very important to Science Horizon Kenya because it fits perfectly with our goal of empowering youth and marginalised communities through innovation and sustainable development. Through SYNAPSE, we can help young people learn systems thinking, which allows them to understand complex challenges, come up with better solutions, and make a real difference in their communities. The project also gives youth a chance to connect and learn with peers from Europe and other African countries, sharing experiences and gaining new ideas. For our organisation, SYNAPSE helps us run inclusive, practical programs in areas like climate solutions, digital skills, and civic engagement. Most importantly, SYNAPSE puts youth at the center, letting them be co-creators of solutions, build leadership skills, and create networks that last beyond the project. This supports our vision of nurturing young leaders who can bring positive change locally and globally.
