Youth4CAN, a partner in the SYNAPSE Project, empowers Namibian youth through climate action and green skills development. The organisation mobilises young people, advocates for climate change awareness, and builds capacity across the 14 regions of Namibia. Through evidence-based advocacy, its focus areas include environmental protection, community development, and climate justice.
Youth4Can will play a key role in the project as youth-focused practitioners and community development professionals whose experience in climate action, stakeholder engagement, and organisational co-ordination strengthens the project’s outreach, inclusivity, and grassroots impact. In addition, Youth4Can will contribute significantly to youth facilitators’ development and the implementation of the Virtual Youth Hub, ensuring meaningful youth participation, capacity-building, digital engagement, and sustainable community-driven action throughout the project.
Youth4CAN team is excited to contribute to the project:
“The SYNAPSE project is designed to equip Namibian youth with essential skills to understand complex climate and development issues through knowledge exchange. This initiative plays a significant role in advancing holistic problem-solving, encouraging participants to integrate environmental, social, and economic perspectives. Its aim is to prepare young people to become future leaders who champion sustainable transformation and strengthen community resilience in Namibia, consistent with Youth4CAN’s core principles and overarching vision.”
